About

Rigpa Canada is Montreal's Tibetan Buddhist meditation centre, part of an international network founded in the lineage of great masters. The centre offers courses in shamatha and vipashyana meditation, compassion training, mind training, and a complete path from introduction to advanced practice.

Our Story

Rigpa Canada serves as the heart of the Rigpa community in Canada, with roots in the authentic lineage of Jamyang Khyentsé Chökyi Lodrö, Dilgo Khyentsé Rinpoché, and Nyoshul Khen Rinpoché. Located in Montreal's Pierrefonds-Roxboro district, the centre brings together a sangha of nearly sixty practitioners from across Quebec. Under the guidance of contemporary masters such as Mingyur Rinpoché and Tsoknyi Rinpoché, members study and practice meditation, cultivate compassion, explore the teachings on death and dying from The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, and learn to integrate wisdom into daily life. The centre offers seasonal courses, weekend formations, and intensive meditation retreats, meeting both in person and online.
