Allison has a passion for athletics and was previously a varsity athlete in Track and Field. She completed postgraduate studies in Pediatrics at Downstate Medical Centre in Brooklyn, New York, and a fellowship in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children.
