Our Story

Founded in 2003, the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO) is a leader in osteopathic education in Canada, dedicated to training future osteopathic manual practitioners to the highest international standards. With a rigorous 4,200-hour program that combines in-depth academic study and extensive hands-on training, CAO emphasizes the relationship between structure and function, providing students with a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics. Students progress from foundational labs to advanced clinical practice, ultimately treating real patients in the school’s public charity clinic under professional supervision. CAO is recognized for its commitment to excellence, having established the first Type 1 osteopathy program in Canada that aligns with the World Health Organization’s benchmarks.
