Our Story

The genesis of the Canadian Mental Health Association-Thompson Region was deeply rooted in personal connection and a shared sense of concern for our neighbors. Several years ago, a series of community conversations unveiled a troubling reality; many individuals were silently struggling with mental health challenges but felt isolated in their battles. Moved by these stories, a group of passionate advocates came together, recognizing that the only way forward was to build a supportive space tailored specifically for the Thompson community. What started as an idea soon gained momentum, culminating in our establishment. Today, the center stands as a testament to the community's resilience and our commitment to nurturing mental wellness. Every day, we are motivated by the clients we serve, their triumphs, and the relationships we continue to build.
