Our Story

The seed of Ma-Mow-We-Tak Friendship Centre was planted when I, a longtime resident of Thompson, recognized a growing need for spaces where individuals could truly connect with themselves and each other. My journey began in the heart of Indigenous teachings, where I learned the power of mindfulness not just as a practice but as a bridge between cultures and generations. Inspired by the connections I witnessed in our community, I envisioned a studio that could provide a nurturing environment for people from all walks of life. With the support of community leaders and wellness advocates, I transformed this vision into reality. At the heart of our center lies a commitment to inclusivity, setting us apart from typical studios. We honor the rich tapestry of Thompson, drawing strength from its history, its people, and the resilience of nature surrounding us.
