My journey into the realm of integrative medicine sprang from a personal experience that reshaped my understanding of mental health. Growing up in the diverse community of Coquitlam, I often witnessed how traditional methods didn’t resonate with everyone. This sparked a deep passion to explore holistic approaches, blending modern techniques with traditional practices. After years of study and immersion in various therapies, I established Starr Counselling to create a haven where people can explore their unique paths toward healing. One particularly unforgettable experience was with a client who had struggled with debilitating anxiety for years. Through our sessions, integrating mindfulness and cognitive techniques, they began to reclaim their joy and enthusiasm for life. Witnessing their transformation ignited my commitment to fostering such connections. I believe that every individual possesses the strength to thrive, and it’s a privilege to guide them on that journey.
