Our Story

The Burnaby Seniors Resources Society sprang from a heartfelt desire to empower seniors in our community. The founder, inspired by her grandmother’s struggles to find meaningful connections and support, wanted to create a space that felt like home, where seniors could not only receive assistance but also find friendship and joy. With a small group of volunteers, she began organizing meet-ups in local parks, quickly realizing that there was a significant need for a dedicated wellness center. Each story shared and each connection made fueled her passion, leading to the establishment of the society. What drives the organization is the belief that every senior deserves a vibrant and fulfilling life. Driven by the mission to bridge gaps in resources for older adults, the society continues to evolve, adapting to the changing needs of the community it serves with innovative programs and a welcoming spirit.
