Our Story

My journey toward establishing the Provincial Assessment Centre began several years ago, rooted in personal experiences with mental health challenges. Growing up amidst the stunning landscapes of Burnaby, I often found solace in nature but felt a burden from the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Upon completing my studies in psychology, I realized that many individuals like me were searching for compassion and understanding in their mental health journeys. I envisioned a space where assessments could not only represent numbers and diagnoses but also tell a story—your story. Each assessment at our clinic is approached with empathy and an acknowledgment of the courage it takes to seek help. Every client's experience shapes us, reminding us why we started this mission—to redefine mental health assessment as a pathway to healing, understanding, and empowerment. I’m deeply committed to ensuring that every individual who walks through our doors feels valued and heard, which is the heart and soul of our practice.
