Our Story

Reflecting on my early years as a volunteer in various community support roles, I was consistently struck by the gaps in mental health services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Witnessing firsthand the struggles faced by both clients and their families ignited a passion within me to bring forth meaningful changes. With that fire, I pursued formal education in psychology and specialized training in developmental health. My dedication was further fueled by family experiences that exposed me to the profound impact mental health resources can have. Each client’s story is unique, and I view every individual as more than a diagnosis but as a person with depth, dreams, and potential. Developmental Disabilities Mental Health Services grew from this conviction, evolving into an inclusive, supportive environment where growth is possible. Each day, I am reminded of the resilience present in our clients, and it is their journey that inspires us to innovate and adapt our practices, ensuring that our service is as unique as the individuals we serve.
