The inception of LifeSTAR Alberta is deeply rooted in my personal journey through the labyrinth of mental health challenges. Having faced the stigma and lack of understanding myself, I recognized a profound need for compassionate support in my community. This realization ignited a passion within me to create a sanctuary where individuals are met with empathy and professionalism. I sought specialized training in trauma-informed care and mindfulness practices, believing that healing occurs in the context of understanding and acceptance. Establishing LifeSTAR Alberta was a deliberate act of love – my way of giving back to a community that often feels vulnerable and isolated. My mission is to transform the narrative around mental health and to dismantle obstacles, one person at a time. By fostering genuine connections, I aim to guide each client on their unique path towards not just recovery, but empowerment, embodying the belief that everyone deserves a chance to shine.
