Our Story

The Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts was born from a deeply personal journey. As someone who faced the hustle and bustle of life in Fort McMurray, I always sought a refuge—a breath of fresh air amidst the chaos. This led to a passion for mindfulness practices, which not only transformed my life but ignited a desire to share this gift with others. I envisioned a haven where individuals could come together, learn, and grow, surrounded by the beautiful people of our community. Each class or workshop conducted here is more than just a lesson; it represents a collective healing experience. Witnessing the connection between participants—people opening up and supporting one another—fills me with immense joy. My hope is that every visitor leaves not just with new skills, but a renewed spirit that empowers them to navigate everyday challenges with grace.
