Our Story

The inception of the Edmonton Aboriginal Seniors Centre springs from a deeply-rooted desire to create a space where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued. As the founder, I've watched firsthand how the wisdom of our elders needs a platform for sharing, especially among Indigenous communities. This center was born out of conversations with local seniors expressing a need for a supportive environment that promotes their physical health while honoring their cultural identities. Motivated by my own family's stories and traditions, I envisioned a space that not only addresses wellness but also embraces the shared history and culture of our people. Every time a client steps into the center, they become part of a legacy that connects past generations with the present, enriching our community one heart at a time.
